-     Before the kids came I made sure to have the chipboard and paper ready. I determined the sizw by a couple plates/bowls. Make sure your ‘cover’ is slightly larger than the inside paper. I traced it then cut the paper out.

-     Squeeze out some MONO Aqua Liquid adhesive onto a plate and give each child a paint brush.

-      The glue stays wet throughout the entire project and is so smooth it’s like gluing with watercolors. I had the kids choose a colored cardstock for the back of the cover, they each got a white one for the front. They used the paint brushes to glue the covers over their chipboard (make sure to get all the way to the edges). Let dry.

-     I had the kids draw on their covers with their paint brushes (and MONO Aqua) just half of their picture. Then sprinkle glitter. Repeat with another layer of glue and a separate color of glitter. You can also use the MONO glue pen for a lot of extra added detail.(depending on the ages of your kids you might want a few extras on hand… this concept was though for a few of them but they loved learning!) Let dry.

-     Use the MONO Adhesive runner on the back of a strip of cardstock (the same width as your crayons). Wrap around crayons and decorate as desired.

-     Once the glitter is set, the kids can wrap the cello around their cover, help them tie with ribbon. The cello adds that candy look but also protects the glitter from being rubbed off by toddler hands looking for pixie dust! Bring together the paper and covers (trim if needed). Use a heavy duty hole punch to punch two holes through the edge of the entire booklet. Tie off with ribbon and fold in seam.

-     Let the kids enjoy it! They’ll love having their own little holiday picture book.
