Since I’ve been working with all of these old, pre-digital pictures lately, I’ve found a lot of red eyes. So of course I dug through my stash to find my old red eye fix marker. Well, apparently it’s been a loooong time since I used it because it was as dry as a cinnamon stick. I was irritated because I was working on my album and just wanted it done. Frustrated, I put that picture to the side and kept working on the rest of the album. I was journaling with my Dual Brush Pens when I realized that it was the perfect option for me. Red-Eye correction pens are just the right color to cancel out the red/orange. Tombow has every color under the rainbow and they never dry out. So using the fine-tipped end on Pen #243 (pale green) or Pen #491(pale blue) BOTH work perfectly for fixing red eye! Problem solved.
For the last 5 years I’ve been collecting Christmas scrapbook supplies. I had made 5 mini Christmas albums for family members and always had the intention of making one for myself. I’ve spent every season since then trying to decide how I was going to scrapbook my Christmases in a special way. I thought maybe I’d make a new layout each year and then put it in one master book, but I take WAY too many pictures to have everything condensed down to a few 2 page layouts. So this year I finally decided how to solve my problem… MINI ALBUMS! So for the last two weeks I’ve been working on a mini album for each year my husband and I have been together. I’ve gotten 5 of our 9 years together scrapbooked in just 10 days. It’s been A TON of work but, they’ve all turned out so amazing and each one is my new favorite. Over the next few weeks I’ll share as many as I can starting with this one.

I think teaching kids the spirit of giving is important this time of year. So of course, I’m using our weekly craft time to teach it! These bracelets are an adorable homemade gift for your little ones to make their friends (or teachers) this holiday. Continue Reading
I love collections. I collect vintage camera’s and teacups. A friend of mine collects rare books. One of my favorite things to do with any great collection is to document it. One of the best ways to do that is making a scrapbook of your collection. That way the information is never lost and your treasures are never just one in a crowd. My Mom happens to collect German nutcrackers. They’re all beautiful and they are all unique. She’s been slowly adding to her collection for almost 20 years now and when you walk through her front door during the holidays you feel like you are entering Santa’s workshop. Continue Reading
I just wanted to remind everyone that you can still make a card for a deserving child. Tombow has donated a great prize pack! Check us out at Jennifer McGuire’s blog HERE!
This card was designed by the talented Sarah Little. Sarah has been teaching in the industry for 7 years. Her work is always so clean and classic, I love it. She is also one of Tombow’s CHA demonstrators. So, if you’re headed to Anaheim in January be sure to find her at our booth, she has some fun make-n-take projects planned.
This snow covered house is perfect for the holidays. Can’t you just picture Santa wanting to climb down that chimney with a few surprises? Continue Reading
I have a special needs son. He has a lot of people work with him on a daily basis. He has speech therapists, occupational therapists, parapro’s, special ed coordinators, bus drivers and of course his regular teachers. When it comes time for Christmas gifts for them, you can understand why I am always very overwhelmed. Not just because there are so many people on his list’s but because these people do so much to help my child and a simple gift card just doesn’t seem adequate to express my appreciation. I am always looking for unique, fun and personal gift ideas for them. Continue Reading
