I know the blog’s been abandoned over the last few days- I’ve had a compter crisis.  Lucky for me my best friend is a IT Engineer and was able to save all my work from the land of lost data. So now that the problem is fixed be sure to check back often. I’ll be updating everyday and hopefully I’ll even do some back posting for a few of the days I missed.  It’s a new year. New goals, new ideas!  One of my new years goals this year is to be better at sending birthday cards. Specifically to my nieces and nephews.

IMG_0466I’ve made a few of these fun birthday boxes for friends and family over the years but never finished mine. The idea is that each month there is a index card (or two) with everyone’s birthday’s or special events. You can pull out the card and put it on your bulletin board for the month to remind you when/who to send to. I finally finished mine this past week. I love the pictures of everyone each month.

The index cards are just the standard 4×6 size so it could fit in a cute recipe box I found at a local kitchen store. But I cut them out of cardstock and used MONO adhesive Power Bond to attach two cards together (to make them thicker and also to hold a ribbon/hinge if I had too many birthday’s in one month to fit on one card). The metal embellishments were put on using MONO METAL Liquid Glue and the photos and tags were attached with MONO Adhesive roller. Now that I have it all put together in one place it’s time to restock my card box for the year!
