DSC_9180i’ve been working on a project inspired by ali edwards (thank you ali!)
for the last few years she has put together a “december daily” album, pre-making pages and then journaling and adding pictures throughout the month.

i had full intention of doing the same thing…and along came parent/teacher conferences, and that idea quickly stalled at about day 7.
i didn’t stop taking pictures though. in fact, i was happy to discover that my pre-numbered pages would not go to waste.
i printed off enough pictures to fill 24 pages with activities and memories from the christmas season.
then, as a present to myself for my birthday, i sat down a few days after christmas, with some wallet sized pictures, a few 4×6′s, some fresh papers from October Afternoon’s VERY MERRY line, my pre-numbered pages and a stash of leftover christmas stickers, some brads and ribbon.
it was wonderful, working on something so recent! i have a few finishing touches to add, a couple more things to print out from the computer and ribbon to add to the binder rings, but already it has been looked at more than a dozen times!

throughout all the pictures are adhered with Tombow Mono Dots, i used Tombow Mono Dots on the flat ribbon as well, and for the ribbon tabs I used Tombow Mono Multi. i put the glue pen to work on the tiny legs of the bird and a few other small embellishments, and lastly…bet you can’t tell…i used the Tombow Mono Vellum Adhesive on the front acrylic cover. the picture and paper are behind the cover with the adhesive applied directly to the photo! love that!

if you’ve put together an album like this one inspired by the “december daily” show us…we’d love to see what you’ve come up with!
