Hi friends, Adrienne from @studio80design here to show you how to create 3D floral letters! I’m using the ABT PRO Alcohol-Based Markers Nature Palette to create this project. Here’s the best news: ABT PRO Alcohol-Based Markers are now available exclusively in Michaels Stores!!!
Materials you’ll need:
- Tombow ABT PRO Alcohol-Based Markers Nature Palette
- Strathmore 300 series mixed media pad
- Tombow MONO Graph Mechanical Pencil
- Tombow MONO Drawing Pen
- Tombow MONO Eraser
- Tombow ABT PRO Alcohol-Based Art Marker PN75
The first step is to use your MONO Graph Mechanical Pencil to sketch out your word in block letters onto your paper. I’m sketching the word “hope” onto my Strathmore 300 series mixed media pad. The ABT PRO Markers work well on this paper!
Draw loose florals inside the letters using the ABT PRO Alcohol-Based Markers Nature Palette. This palette is my favorite because it has so many beautiful nature-based colors to draw florals.
Continue to use different color markers to draw loose flowers inside each of the letters. Make sure to stay inside the letters.
Fill in the rest of the spaces of the letters with leaves and small dots.
Once your florals are drawn in, use the MONO Drawing Pens to draw in the details of the flowers and leaves on top of the ABT PRO Marker ink. Erase any pencil lines using the MONO Eraser. Then, use ABT PRO Alcohol-Based Marker PN75 to draw a shadow on each of the letters to make them look 3D!
You’re done! I loved creating these bright and colorful 3D floral letters using the ABT PRO Alcohol-Based Markers Nature Palette. If you’ve been wanting to try out these awesome markers, take a trip to your local Michaels Stores and check them out! Don’t forget to follow @studio80design for more inspiration like this!
