Hey Tombow friends, this is Jennie with an illustration inspired by my favorite season! I made this spooky fall girl using the Tombow ABT PRO Alcohol-Based Markers.
Supplies:
- Pencils: Tombow MONO J Drawing Pencil and the Tombow MONO Graph Mechanical Pencil
- Tombow MONO Drawing Pen
- Mixed media paper
- Erasers: Tombow MONO Dust Catch Eraser and Tombow MONO Zero Eraser
- Tombow ABT PRO Alcohol-Based Markers
Step One:
Use the Tombow MONO J Drawing Pencils to sketch your illustration. For smaller details, you can use the Tombow MONO Graph Mechanical Pencil.
Step Two:
Create a color study using your initial sketch. I used the original sketch to try out color combos and shading. I have two charts of all the Tombow ABT PRO Alcohol-Based Markers but I still like to swatch colors before I color an illustration. The color can also vary depending on the paper you use. I also had a note about making her skin gray to give it an even spookier vibe. When I tried the gray, it washed out the illustration. It’s actually not bad to have a gray base since it will add shades to the final color.
Step Three:
Color the illustration using the Tombow ABT PRO Alcohol-Based Markers. Layer the colors to show shadows. Skip coloring some areas where there is usually a shiny surface.
Step Four:
Use the Tombow MONO Drawing Pens to line the drawing and add extra details.
