I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, Marie is one of the people who just have creativity shooting from their brains like sparklers. Lucky for us she was willing to let us take a peak into her creative process…

Marie, Where do you create? I have a large studio and an office. Although, I’ve just decided to downsize and combine the two spaces into one.

Do you listen/watch to music/tv while you work? I listen to music. My playlist right now is Barenaked Ladies, Coldplay, Enya, Il Divo and U2.

What about foods/drink while you work? NO! Esp. no drink. (I always stick my paintbrushes into it or knock it over!)

What is your most used/must have tool? This week it’s tweezer scissors (teeny tiny scissors on tweezers.. I think it’s a surgical tool) but, next week it might be something completely different!

What’s your Fav. Tombow Product? Dual Brush Pens.

Check out this adorable card Marie used using Imaginisce papers, Tombow Dual Brush Pens, Mono MULTI and our MONO Adhesive DOTS! We love your work Marie, Thanks for sharing your creativity with us! (I love those layered flowers!)

To say that Sarah is a multi task-er is an understatement. Sarah is a Pre-K teacher, by day, she works at her local scrapbook store by afternoon and she’s even getting a Master’s Degree by night. Starting to sound like a super hero, isn’t she? She does find time to spend and enjoy lots of precious moments with her cozy family of four. She savors every home-run and ballet twirl and has her camera with her the entire time.  I’m not exaggerating at all when I say that Sarah’s favorite adhesive is Tombow DOTS adhesive roller. She keeps some at her school, and in her home office but, I’ve even caught sight of it in her purse on multiple occasions! This week she put together a perfect springtime layout for her and her daughter with just some spring paper and Tombow DOT adhesive runner on everything. Even the flower stems and leaves because it’s perfect for the skinny ribbon. Just roll out the DOTS where you need it, put the rub-on or tiny embellishments where you need it and rub away any extra adhesive! Such a cute memorable moment for the two of them. Thanks Sarah for being part of the Tombow team!

This fun project is I taught to the Resource students I work with. They are always excited when I teach them a craft. They have to have all their work caught up and this is a great reward for working so hard. This is super easy to do. I cut the bunnies with my cricut, but you can draw your own bunny head or google bunny images and there are lots online to choose from.

I cut a piece of patterned paper (here I used scraps from my spring block project by Imaginisce) 1.25″ by 3″. Adhere  with Tombow’s Mono- Permanent Adhesive on strip and wrap around a Hershey nugget. I drew the bunny face on with a black marker and colored the nose and ears with pink and black Dual Brush Pen’s also.

Use Tombow’s MONO AQUA Liquid glue to adhere the head to one end of the candy and a pompom for the tail to the other and quickly watch these bunnies multiply. Ü This project is a great one to do with children and a great way to use up all those patterned paper scraps. Try it with other springtime animals as well!

is it spring yet? i’m just holding onto thought that it will start actually feeling like spring any day now! so, in anticipation of warmer weather and spring break vacations i created this card…however it’s so cute, i hope that i am the one receiving it and not giving it.

i have never considered myself a “pink” person, but the lucy bird collection from imaginisce has me inspired to work on pink layouts for my daughter (whose is VERY pink). i didn’t have the pictures i needed printed, so i satisfied my creative desire by creating this card.

i couldn’t decide which side of the paper to use, so i used both! by cutting a window in the front of the card i was able to adhere one piece of paper and see both sides. one through the front window and the other on the inside of the card.

i’ve been wanting to try something for a while, and cutting out this little bird gave me the chance to go for it…using Tombow’s MONO Multi as a three-dimensional adhesive. the glue dries tacky, so i put three generous dots on the back of the bird and let it sit out over night. the next morning i added a tiny dot of the Multi on top of the dried dots from the night before and attached it to the card. it gave my little bird “flight”! just enough dimension…just what i was going for! i love it when an idea works out. oh and before i’m off, check out our facebook page, I have another cute card posted there. be sure to keep the comments coming on facebook, here on the blog and over at imaginisce, a little birdy told me they love hearing your feedback (and might be rewarding it!)

Somehow in the last 9+ years of parenting I’ve left myself out of the Easter Basket equation. This year I vowed to change that. After all, Easter candy is really my FAVORITE candy of the year, and why should the kids get all the fun? So I made myself an Easter basket yesterday, and I’m quite happy because I can pretty much guarantee that the Easter Bunny is going to leave me EXACTLY what I love!
I used the Lucy Bird line from Imaginisce…I have all boys so I don’t pull out birds and girly flowers very often, but let me say that I was SO excited this week to have a reason to scrap in pink!! This line is so cute and whimsical, and the coordinating stickers, flowers, and chipboard are adorable.

After I had the basket finished, I decided I needed some cute flowers coming out of it. So be sure to keep reading, I included a tutorial at the end to show just how easy it is to make these. I only made a few since I needed to leave some room for the candy, but these are so cute in a glass vase with LOTS of them in a variety of lengths.
