This mailbox cost me only $1 and dressed it up with 4 x12 patterned paper, ribbons and some stickers. For gluing the cardstock I used the Tombow Stamp Runner and for the embellishments I used the Mono Multi Glue. I also made a coordinating card with the cutest cherub which I colored with my Tombow Dual Brush Pens. I paper pierced the cloud and used Tombow Foam Tabs. The card is size 3 1/4 x 4 1/2 which fits perfectly in the mailbox.

I can’t believe how cute this cherub looks with Honeysuckle hair!! I love how bright my Tombow Dual Brush Pens are and not to mention how incredibly easy they are to use for beginners like me.

the line has so many enchanting papers, easy to use stickers and fun embellishments. i should have taken a picture of all of it before i started working, but i didn’t (too eager to get to work!)

so instead, this time i am entertaining you with a picture of “after”…what i was left with. it may look like a lot, until you see what i started with! and here is a link to everything that is included in this line from Fancy Pants. ( i had MOST of it!)

from my first glance at the papers in this collection i knew that they would be perfect for this COMING  halloween, since my daughter is dressing as a witch. i’ve been working a halloween or two in the past each year and i’ve never been concerned with matching costumes to the paper used for the memory keeping, but it was the perfect choice for this year.

i began with a 2 page layout, using quite a bit of product without making it feel overwhelming or busy. i used Tombow MONO Adhesive Permanent. i left lots of room for pictures to document our costume choices for this year.

once that was finished I started work on a a small album where I could keep pictures of all the events of the holiday – Trunk-or-Treat at church, Trick-or-Treating on Halloween, classroom parties, pumpkin carving, and our own Halloween party. i needed a standard size, so i made mats for pictures that would be printed wallet size. This way I can fit many pictures on a page, even though the page is only 6×12.

for this album i used Tombow MONO Adhesive Permanent  for all the paper embellishments and mats, and i used Tombow MONO Multi Liquid Adhesive to adhere the background papers to the chipboard album pages. (album by pink paislee).

to create the album i spread the pages out…and then all around i laid out the sticker sheets, chipboard stickers, die cuts and paper scraps from previously cut sheets, and worked on one set of pages at a time. first i added some photo mats, then i would scour through all the goodies to find embellishments that complimented each other and helped pull the page together.

there is plenty of room to add more pictures if needed, and room to add journaling. two things to keep in mind when pre-making an album.

so in my goal to use as much as i could and i managed a double page layout, a 10 page mini album, and a huge sense of accomplishment…Halloween memories are ready to be made!

For the title I used the 1 candle of the Cricut Sweet Treats Cartridge and the font is from the All Mixed Up Cartridge. Most of the patterned papers are from Momenta.

For the doodling I used Tombow Markers and I also used them on the  candle flame and I used the blending marker.

This cute girl and the balloon is from the Paper Dolls Everyday Cartridge and I made the ears with the Paper Dolls Dress Up Cartridge and my Gypsy. For her face I used Peachy Keen Stamps  and for her hair I used Tombow Markers and the blending marker. I also doodle the balloon the with the markers. I embossed the little girl dress and I inked it.

This cupcake is from Sweet Treats. I embossed the cupcake wrapper and I used glitter glue on the candle.

* ceramic tiles (i used 4×4) from home improvement store/hardware store
* felt or cork – for underside of tile
* paint brush
* Tombow MONO Aqua Liquid Glue
* Tombow MONO Multi Liquid Glue
* spray sealant
* something to decorate the top of the tile – pattern paper, photos, stamps & staz-on ink     -so many possibilities!

so my coasters are christmas themed (gearing up for that holiday season…)

1. i used Tombow MONO Multi to adhere a 4×4 piece of christmas themed pattern paper to a ceramic tile. i put the glue on the tile using the broad tip applicator and then smoothed the piece of paper over it. be sure to secure all the edges down.

2. set aside to dry and move onto the next one.

3. when you finish adding the paper to the front of the tiles, this would be the point where you would personalize the tiles using a stamp (i did monograms) and staz-on ink

4. go back to the first tiles that should be dry now. use a small amount of Tombow MONO Aqua and squiggle a few lines of glue over the top of the pattern paper and the stamped image. use a paint brush to spread the glue around.

5. work with the edges and smooth them down. there will be a little bubbling, but as the glue drys most of the bubbles settle out.
the thicker the paper the fewer bubbles! photos do not tend to bubble at all when printed on photo paper.

6. set these aside to dry and wash your brush out

7. when dry, should be 10-15 minutes, take the tiles outside or to a ventilated area and spray with the sealant.
you need the sealant to keep the coasters protected. as condensation from glasses/cups touches an un-sealed coaster it will become sticky, as the MONO Aqua Liquid Glue is water-based.

8. allow these to dry.

9. cut felt or cork to fit the bottom of the tile  and adhere with Tombow MONO Multi.

10. then use them at your party, each person gets their own coaster…and then they get to take it home!

p.s. yes, you can use M.P. for this project…but sometimes you just don’t have that white stuff around when you are feeling crafty. it is good to know that other glues will do the work just as well or even better.

This cute little monster is from the Mini Monsters Cricut Cartridge and I also used Glossy Accents and googly eyes to make him extra cute.

I made a bow with Black and Orange Twine and I also wrapped it around the mat. The orange tag behind it is from the Once Upon A Princess Cartridge.

This old little fence was cut from the Paper Dolls Dress Up Cricut Cartridge and I embossed it with a Tim Holtz embossing folder. I also inked it with brown ink to show the embossing detail.

I stamped an inchie from InkaDinkaDoo stamp set and I punched out with my one inch circle punch and then I punched a little scalloped circle and I layered the sentiment. I also used Glossy Accents on the stamp.

little bits or little bites??? i guess that depends on what you dress up as this year for halloween.

but i have decided to take my halloween in little….well, in small amounts. i take so many pictures that layouts are not an option to show all the fun that we have on halloween. i started creating an album each year. some years i can make them ahead of time and add the pictures after the holiday. and others i am playing catch-up on. several companies have kits that you can use to make it easy. all coordinated and ready to assemble. i did that with this album from little yellow bicycle…

but even still i had too many pictures i wanted to use. i couldn’t narrow it down anymore; i had to keep them. so i glued several photos together – two at a time, back to back. i used Tombow MONO Aqua Liquid Glue. i used it sparingly as it is a water-based glue and too much can warp your pictures. however, i carefully applied a thin line around the outside edges and a few squiggles towards the middle. this holds the pictures securely and gives it more stability. with that done i was able to punch holes in them and add them into the mini album as their own page.

a tip- if you put together an album before you have pictures for it, leave space for a standard size picture. a picture can always be cut down…i do 4×6′s and 2×3′s (a wallet size).

Step 1. Start here with the point
of the brush tip and press down to start forming the stroke.

Step 2. Go in the direction of the
arrow, pushing on the brush tip a little more to make the stroke wider.

Step 3. Start to lift up the tip at
the end and off the paper to create the sharp point.

Step 4. Practice
making the curve stroke. Try making it smaller or larger.

Step 5. After you
are happy with your stroke, make it in the opposite direction! It’s a little
easier to draw the left to right curve stroke if you angle your paper slightly.

Step 6. Start the Spooky Bat by making two mirror-image curve strokes

Step 7. Add smaller curve strokes to each side to form the wings.

Step 8. Add tiny teardrop strokes for the ears

Step 9. Using the fine tip of the pen; add eyes, feet and little curls on
the top of the wings – makes them look a little bit more vampir-ish!

Spooky Bat can have a dotted flight path or little movement marks for their flapping wings. He also comes in
lots of spooky colors. Spooky Bat also likes to hang around the bat cave. Turn the paper upside down when drawing Spooky Bat sleeping in the cave.

These inexpensive treat sacks are so easy to make the whole family can help. Fill them with your favorite homemade treat to delight any trick or treater!

Materials:

Directions:

Step 1. On wax paper, scribble the green and purple brush markers using the large brush

point. Spritz a little water onto the colors to make them blend slightly. Lay the

paper sack down into the color and press. Lift and lay face up to dry. Repeat with all the sacks.

Step 2. Place the spider stickers onto the front of the sacks. Use the photo of the samples for placement.

Step 3. With the black Brush Marker, add spider silk to hang the spiders and the lined boarder.

Step 4. With the gray Brush Marker, add the shadows to the spiders and webs.

Step 5. Place the treat into the bag and fold over the top. Bend a chenille stem (12 in for

large bag, 9 in for small bag) into a U shape and staple to the top of the bag.

Step 6. Add a piece of the feathery boa ( 3 1/2 in for small bag, 4 1/2 in for large bag) to

the top of the bag using the adhesive tape.

Step 7. Finish the bag by gluing in two wiggle eyes to the boa with the Multi liquid glue.
