Pretty little paper shoes that work great for place tags or favors for wedding showers of ‘girls night out’ parties. We will be making the one in front with the rolled tulle flower and using Mono
Multi Liquid Glue, Power Tabs and the Permanent Stamp Runner. Thanks for stopping by…
I found some very cute, and very inexpensive wooden boxes on my last visit to the craft store and decided to cover them with some lovely paper from Kaiser Craft. MONO Aqua liquid glue was used with wondrous results!
I used the boxes as my template and cut the paper panels slightly smaller than the surfaces. Using the broad applicator, cover the entire piece with Aqua glue and then place and smooth with your hand. For easy gluing and making sure you get the glue to the edges, use an old phone book and a new page for each paper surface. This prevents you from getting glue on the front of the paper. I found the glue made a strong bond with no wrinkling or buckling. I also had very little sanding on the edges, as they were perfectly even with the box edge.
I embellished the boxes with floral rhinestones and leather flowers from Maya Road. The MONO Multi liquid glue made them stick fast!
I didn’t stop there – I had to fill the boxes with matching projects!
The small box is filled with magnets. I used a magnet sheet which I adhered a piece of paper too using the MONO Aqua Liquid Glue. When dry, simply cut out the motifs. The rhinestones were attached using the MONO Multi liquid glue.
The tube box was perfect for some designer pencils. Tear a piece of paper approximately 1” wide and the length of the pencil. The torn edge makes a less visible seam. Aqua glue is applied to the paper and then wrapped firmly around the pencil. When dry, I gave the pencils a finishing coating of the Aqua for a nicer appearance and added strength. You can sharpen the pencils normally; just make sure they have dried completely.
A collection of little cards was made to fill the larger box. Bird peel-offs (outline stickers) from Elizabeth Craft Design were placed on white cardstock and colored with matching Dual Brush Pens. Cut the bird out and mount on a card with a matching paper panel with Permanent Adhesive. Small green rhinestones were added using the Glue Pen.
If you are attending CHA you can stop by the Tombow booth to see this and many other projects starring our adhesives and if you aren’t in sunny California check out our Facebook page for tons of great pictures and sneak peeks from the show!
