Throughout the years Michael has worked with clients like Disney and Pixar films, Touchstone Pictures and Coca-Cola.  Michael uses Tombow MONO Drawing Pencils in his sketches and loves the look of the 2B and 4B pencils.

He uses Tombow pencils for the initial drawing and then adds the final touches using PhotoshopCS5. Amos prefers to use Tombow pencils for the initial drawing because he likes the “real pencil” look. The detail of an animators sketch is very important and pencil smears can be a nightmare, so the smooth lines of Tombow pencils are perfect for creating the initial sketch of an animation.

Ralph Kelly is a cartoonist at Airgrafix Airbrushing in Houston, Texas specializing in drawing caricatures of people.  He has created many instructional DVD’s on how to draw and color caricatures.

Aja recently featured some great drawings of puppies on her blog, created using our dual brush pens on moleskine paper.  Remembering using these pens as a child, she picked up three shades of brown to pair with the moleskine color.  As Aja says, “The moleskine paper is super thick and perfect for using markers on – there is zero bleed through to the other side.”

His work currently includes portraiture in graphite, carbon, charcoal (separate and mixed) and oil on canvas.

Jim is a big fan of the Tombow eraser, which is a huge part of his tool kit.
