Throughout the years Michael has worked with clients like Disney and Pixar films, Touchstone Pictures and Coca-Cola. Michael uses Tombow MONO Drawing Pencils in his sketches and loves the look of the 2B and 4B pencils.

He uses Tombow pencils for the initial drawing and then adds the final touches using PhotoshopCS5. Amos prefers to use Tombow pencils for the initial drawing because he likes the “real pencil” look. The detail of an animators sketch is very important and pencil smears can be a nightmare, so the smooth lines of Tombow pencils are perfect for creating the initial sketch of an animation.

Michael is an experienced and talented animator and his work is amazing, so whether you are an experienced animator or just breaking into the animation scene our Drawing Pencils are great additions to your creative suite.

Cynthia Niklas has been an artist and journalist for almost 30 years and blogs about her experiences and the beautiful art that she creates in her journals. Adding beauty to all things around her through her art, Cynthia reviews and critiques the art materials that she uses.

A sketchbook is a valuable thing to an artist and the art on the pages of a sketchbook is even more important. That being said, it is an artist’s worst nightmare when the ink of the pen they are using bleeds through the pages. Cynthia, an avid journaling artist, has found the solution–Tombow Ultra Roll Pens.

Cynthia is a fan of Tombow’s pens and uses them for her quick ink sketches. The wet, permanent line of the pen dries quickly leaving a crisp look with minimal bleed through to the next page which is ideal for sketchbooks and portfolios alike. So the next time you get inspired to sketch, reach for a Tombow pen.

Check out Cynthia’s blog for more of her reviews and critiques!

Long days and caffeine overloads can often lead to crooked storyboards and sticky tape residue left as evidence of your mistake. Every graphic designer or illustrator knows there is no room in the budget for error when working with an illustration board. Give yourself some breathing room the next time you go to create a storyboard and use our removable adhesive.

The MONO Adhesive Removable will help you cover your tracks! With a removable bond for self-sticking and removing, you can replace your storyboard multiple times without going through illustration boards like they are cheap paper. Simply rub to remove the adhesive from the surface without tearing the paper or leaving residue or a stain behind.

The removable bond is acid-free and safe to use on photos and cardstock. With an easy-to-refill snap-in cartridge, you can recreate and replace the look of your storyboard to your satisfaction.

You have the power to create the perfect storyboard the first time, or at least give the impression it was the first time. So, if at first you don’t succeed, try again using the Mono Adhesive Removable.

Darla creates pencil portraits and her work has been published many times and it is even sold internationally.

She prefers to use MONO Drawing pencils because the artist slant and extra-refined, high density graphite help her to create smearproof portraits! With a break resistant point, these Tombow drawing pencils are perfect for blending and will help you to produce crisp, clean drawings with the added value of slow wear for smooth, dense writing and are available in multiple point strengths.
