you are my anchor….by melissa cash 1

Hello friends!  It’s Friday and we are at the end of another busy week. What are you doing this weekend?  We don’t have any big plans as we are expecting some much needed rain and that will keep us inside.  I am hoping to work ahead on some future projects.  Keep your fingers crossed for me, I can be easily side tracked 🙂
In case you haven’t noticed, nautical is in everywhere and I decided to join in with the rest of the crafting community and play with an adorable MFT PI image called You Are My Anchor.  Isn’t she cute?
I started with a top fold white card base and then added a red layer using Tombow Xtreme Adhesive (have I told you how much I love this new adhesive?) and then adding a layer of this beautiful anchor paper from the Graphic 45 By the Sea collection using a little more Xtreme Adhesive.  I stamped the sentiment in black ink onto a scrap of white cardstock and added a smaller scrap of red directly behind the sentiment.  I “fish-tailed” both ends of the red and white panels.  I adhered these to the card with a bit more Xtreme.  I stamped the sweet Pure Innocence image in black ink and colored her with the following Tombow Dual Brush pens:  #850, #946, #947, #515, #565, #N60 and #N45.  I die cut and added the image panel to a red oval panel using Xtreme and then popped it up onto the card with Foam Tabs.  I added a die cut anchor and twine for a finishing touch.
I hope you all have a fabulous weekend!
