By Sara Hynes
Hi friends! I’m Sara Hynes, and today we’re creating a fun, illustrated summer bucket list. I love making these lists to help plan memorable activities for the sunny months—and checking each one off is half the fun!
What You’ll Need:
- Dual Brush Pen Art Markers – Tropical 10-Pack
- Marker Paper
- MONO Eraser
- MONO Graph Mechanical Pencil
- MONO Drawing Pen (05)
- Fudenoske Brush Pen – Black
Step-by-Step Instructions:
Step 1: Make Your List
Start by writing down all the fun things you want to do this summer. I included a mix of family favorites and new ideas like making ice cream and visiting the zoo.
Step 2: Title Your Page
Using the brush side of your Dual Brush Pen, letter “Summer Bucket List” in the center of the page. Choose bright, cheerful colors and try some playful calligraphy styles to give it that summer vibe.
Step 3: Sketch Your Illustrations
With your MONO Graph Mechanical Pencil, sketch illustrations to represent each bucket list item. Space them out across the page and leave room to label each one. I also added some general summer icons—like watermelon and popsicles—to balance the layout.
Step 4: Add Color
Use your Tropical 10-Pack Dual Brush Pens to bring your sketches to life with vibrant summer colors. I also mixed in a few extra shades for variety and detail.
Step 5: Outline & Detail
Once the colors are dry and you’re happy with the layout, use your MONO Drawing Pen (05) to outline everything. Add small details like watermelon seeds or grill lines to make each drawing pop.
Step 6: Label Your Bucket List Items
Now it’s time to label each illustration! Use either your MONO Drawing Pen (05) or Fudenoske Brush Pen to neatly write the names of your bucket list items.
And You’re Done! 🎉
You’ve just created a colorful, hand-drawn summer bucket list! Hang it somewhere visible to inspire your summer adventures and mark off each item as you complete it.
