September 11, 2011 is Grandparent’s Day this year.
It all sounded so official in 1979, with words and phrases like
“whereof”‘ and “hereunto” and “joint resolution.”But when President Jimmy Carter signed the proclamation creating a National Grandparents Day, little did anyone know how it would grow.
At the time, Carter said the holiday would recognize “the importance and worth of the 17 million grandparents in our nation.”
My grandparents have passed away, but they left us all with a wonderful legacy and so many wonderful memories that I will continue to share with my boys and some day my grandchildren.
My husband has a grandma still living and we visit her when we can. She loves seeing my boys.
This card was created using Inky Antics & SU! rubber stamps, Tombow’s Mono Adhesive Permanent and Irojiten colored pencils.

Beautiful coloring Debbie! I love the triangle print paper too. Remember your Grandma’s doilies? I still have some. 🙂
