Waves, Wonder, and the Perfect Adhesive with Tombow

Hi, friends! I’m Andrea Lake, and I’m getting ready for summer by diving into one of my favorite creative activities—scrapbooking! I grabbed a few of my go-to Tombow adhesives and a MONO Drawing Pen to create a colorful 12×12 scrapbook layout documenting last year’s trip to Puerto Rico with my husband.

Supplies:

I chose a vibrant scrapbook collection to reflect the energy and joy of our beach trip. Using MONO Adhesive Dots, I layered various patterned papers to create a fun and colorful background. I love mixing and matching prints—it’s a simple way to bring life and movement to your page.

For my photos, I used a chipboard frame from the collection and secured the images with MONO Multi Liquid Glue. This glue is perfect for long-lasting adhesion, especially when working with heavier materials like chipboard. I also layered foam, chipboard, and cardstock embellishments to add depth and dimension to the layout—it’s one of my favorite techniques for making a page pop!

When it came to journaling, I turned to my trusty MONO Drawing Pens. I love adding handwritten journaling to my layouts because it makes them feel even more personal. Around the edges of the background, I added some machine stitching for texture, but if you don’t sew, you can use your drawing pens to add faux stitching instead—it’s just as charming!

I hope this project inspires you to give memory keeping a try (or pick it back up!). Keep your Tombow adhesives and drawing pens close—they’re the perfect tools for preserving your favorite moments. I’d love to know: how do you document your life?

With love,

Andrea Lake
