faux book page....by melissa cash

Today I am sharing a card that I created for Marie’s challenge on the Tombow blog. Marie challenged us to use the page from a book in our project.

I don’t own one book that I was willing to tear a page out of, so I went faux for the challenge.

I stamped some kraft cardstock with the Hero Arts Newspaper Background stamp in dark brown ink. For the main image, I used an ATC sized Art Board from Inchie Arts. I watercolored the art square with Distress Stains and then stamped the background with the Newspaper stamp and a lighter brown ink. Then I stamped the flowers from Penny Black in the darker brown ink. Because the art board is a heavier weight, I used Tombow Mono Multi to adhere the art board to the cardstock layer and then again to the card. Believe me, this baby isn’t coming off in anyway!

I added the ribbon trim using Tombow Mono Adhesive and the button was attached using Tombow Power Tabs.
