October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and in honor of that Debbie has chosen to have a Pink Challenge on the Tombow Blog this week.
It has been quite some time since I had used Pink/Brown so I decided to give it a whirl. I pulled out one of my favorite Verve stamp sets and created this pretty card.
I started with a brown card base and then added a layer of pink cardstock and a die cut brown print paper. The pink you see on the front panel is the pink cardstock peeking through the die cut shapes. I used Tombow Mono Adhesive Dots to adhere each of these layers together. Next I stamped the sentiment from the Verve Just for You set in Memento Rich Cocoa ink onto a piece of ivory cardstock and cut it out with circle dies and popped it up onto two scallop circle layers using Tombow Foam Tabs.
Next I added some paper flowers in pink and cream. The pink flowers and the seam binding were dyed using some Salt Water Taffy Starburst Spray from Lindy’s Stamp Gang.
I used a die from Cheery Lynn for the flourish. To adhere the flourish, I added a few drops of Tombow Mono Multi here and there on the backside of the flourish. One nice thing about the Tombow Mono Multi is that it has a small tip on one end and that allows for applying adhesive to small areas without creating a gluey mess.
Now for the fun part, be sure to pop on over to Debbie’s post on the Tombow blog and link up your “pink” project. You could win this fabulous prize package of Pink Things from Tombow!
