National Coffee Day Custom Cup Sleeves

For National Coffee Day, I wanted to show you how easy it is to reuse coffee cup sleeves by personalizing them in a creative way. Hi all, it’s Carola and in just a few simple steps, you can turn the sleeve on your to-go cup into a customization project. I like to invite friends over for coffee and journaling; and this is a fun way to make their coffee (or tea) cup their own.

Supplies Used:

How to create a personalized coffee cup sleeve:

First, trace the cardboard cup sleeve onto a blank piece of paper. Draw a faint line to indicate where the folds will be, to help you plan your design accordingly.

Then, draw your design. I drew a coffee cup (and tea cup for my tea-drinking friends) along with the hand lettered phrase, “but first, all the coffee” (or tea). You can use both tips of the Dual Brush Pen to play with line variation, which makes the hand lettering stand out.

Finally, cut out the sleeve and using the MONO XL Liquid Glue, apply adhesive to the cardboard sleeve.

Align your paper sleeve on top and gently press down. Once it’s dry, fold the sleeve and adhere at the end. The sleeve should now fit your cup!

While it may be National Coffee Day, I personally love my teas as well, so let’s celebrate both beverages!
