Hi, friends! I’m Andrea Lake. As a proud planner person and memory keeper, I’m always searching for ways to stay grounded, focused, and intentional—especially when it comes to taking care of myself. September is Self-Care Awareness Month, and it’s the perfect time to check in with your mind, body, and spirit—and yes, your planner too!
Supplies:
- Tombow Self Care Journaling Kit : 10 Dual Brush Pens + 1 TwinTone Dual-Tip Marker, 30-page instructional booklet with journaling techniques and 250+ self-care illustrations and prompts, 148 decorative stickers
- Dotted Sketchbook
Self-care for me starts with creating the right atmosphere. I light a candle, brew a cup of tea, and find a quiet corner in my craft room. Then, I spread out my journaling kit and sketchbook—ready to reflect, plan, and be fully present.
I love using this time to write about how I’m feeling and, sometimes, just to add color to the page and jot down inspirational quotes. I recently opened my Tombow Self Care Journaling Kit and flipped through the 30-page instructional book for ideas. Since I’m not much into doodling, I looked for layout inspiration to create a spread focused on goal-related quotes.
This kit had everything I needed to bring my vision to life! I used the Dual Brush Pens to create solid color boxes, then added text using the Black TwinTone Marker included in the kit. It was a fun and creative way to reflect on the goals that inspire me.
How are you honoring Self-Care Awareness Month? Whether it’s journaling, memory keeping, or simply taking a few deep breaths, I hope you find time to slow down and take care of you.
With love and intention,
Andrea L.
