At our house, we love to celebrate holidays with a fancy family meal. I love to cook, and I like to bring out the good china and crystal to make the dinner special. I always print up a menu for these meals as a fun memento, and everyone signs it, usually beside the dish they helped to prepare, buy or grow (we also are avid gardeners so fresh produce brought to the table is also celebrated). I used garden grown shallots and spring garlic for the risotto and Osso Buco.
To decorate the menu and place cards for the table, Tombow products play an important part. I used beautiful papers and embellishments from BoBunny’s Crazy Love collection to make the pieces and Dots adhesive and Dual Brush Pens to adorn and construct.
Dual Brush Pen Palette to match BoBunny Crazy Love Collection
772 Blush
847 Crimson
990 Light Sand
743 Hot Pink
899 Redwood
Gingham Hearts
Are these not the cutest hearts? I LOVE the Dual Brush pens! Need to learn how to make the teardrop stroke? Go to Tombow YouTube to see how to make them step-by-step!
Step 1
Apply small pieces of the Dot Adhesive onto your paper
Step 2
Using the teardrop stroke method, make a heart on the adhesive using a dark Dual Brush Pen color
Step 3
Let dry. This is important, be patient and make sure the color has dried at least 1 hour before rubbing away the adhesive. Do not use a heat tool to dry it quickly!
Step 4
With a light color, make another heart overtop the cross design left after the adhesive is removed
Love the idea of signing the menu (such a pretty one, at that)!
Beautiful!! I love your heart technique! I need to try this.
