I can’t believe I am thinking about Christmas already, but I am. It’s ABC (anything but a card) week on the Tombow blog and I knew I wanted to dress up some flameless candles that I have had used for the last couple of years when I decorate for Christmas.
They are sure pretty and glittery now 🙂
I really didn’t do much to them as this was really a quick and easy project and one that you could easily do with children. Just be sure to put down lots of newspaper to catch all of the glitter. I didn’t and I think I will be cleaning glitter off of my desk for the rest of my crafting days.
This is what the candles looked like before I added the Tombow Mono Aqua adhesive and glitter.
I applied the Tombow Mono Aqua to the surface of the candle with the larger applicator and then just sprinkled some medium crystal glitter all over. After all of the glitter was applied I let the candles sit for about 10 minutes and then flipped them over so that the adhesive would not puddle at the bottom. I let them sit another 10 minutes and flipped them one last time. It took about 30 minutes for everything to dry to the touch.
I used a couple of the small Tombow Foam Tabs on the back of the tag to keep it in place on the tallest candle.
Fun idea and thanks about the tip on the newspaper

LOVE THIS! There are 19 cousins (and one on the way) in our fmliay. This would be so fun to make and keep at Grandma and Grandpa’s. As always, everything you do is so beautiful!
