Hi there! This week we have been playing along with Debbie’s awesome challenge to use Pantone’s Color of the Year which is Radiant Orchid.
I had an idea to make a fun banner for Valentine’s Day.
Each of the banners is 4 1/4″ x 6″. I started with a light orchid cardstock and then layered a medium orchid panel that I embossed with a Cuttlebug EF. I wasn’t sure how I was going to like this color, but guess what? I likey a lot! I used Tombow’s new Extreme Adhesive to adhere the embossed panel to the lighter orchid layer and it worked like a charm as sometimes it can be a bit tricky when you have the extra element of embossing. Next, I cut the doily and LOVE letters using Silhouette cut files out of white and orchid cardstocks. I attached the doilies with Tombow Foam Tabs and the letters to the doilies with Tombow Mono Multi. You can’t see it, but I added a wee bit of glitter to each of the hearts. The panels were tied together with twine and little bows added for a finishing touch.
Don’t forget to participate in the challenge, you will find all of the details here.
