Hey Tombow friends, this is Jennie! This week, we are talking about guilty pleasures! I have to admit that one of the few things holding my sanity right now is Animal Crossing! My girls had no idea how obsessed I was going to become when they convinced me to buy a plot on their island! Today, I’ll teach you how to make a doodle of your favorite Animal Crossing Cubs!
Supplies:
- Tombow Dual Brush Pens
- Pictures to use as reference
- Tombow MONO Drawing Pencil
- Mixed media paper
- Tombow Water Brushes
- Erasers- I always pick a pencil shaped one like the Tombow MONO Knock Eraser and a regular one like the Tombow MONO Eraser
- Tombow Fudenosuke Brush Pen
I’m drawing Maple because she is my favorite cub. All of the Animal Crossing cubs have the same head and body shape. Some of them have the same kind of hair too!
When you doodle the Animal Crossing cubs, draw slightly round egg shapes for the head. They have bigger cheeks and a narrow head. Their body is pear shaped. Leave a space in the middle to create the legs. Then, add her arms. Her features are mostly ovals and circles. Use the Tombow MONO Knock Eraser to erase little details without ruining the sketch.
Use the Tombow Dual Brush Pens in areas where there is shadow. Move the colors using the Tombow Water Brushes. Color one section and then move to another section that is not adjacent to the one you just colored. That way the color won’t blend together.
Use the Tombow Flat Water Brush to color the background. This brush is perfect to cover big spaces.
Sometimes I use the Tombow MONO Drawing Pen to outline my drawing but I also enjoy using the Tombow Fudenosuke Brush Pen.
It was so fun making this Animal Crossing doodle that I might try other villagers too!
I hope you are doing something to relax and unwind! If you also enjoy paying debts to the raccoon, you can visit my island using my Dream Code DA-6669-8500-9435!
I hope you enjoyed this little doodle! Take care!
