Hi Tombow Friends! This is Jennie with a Winter journal spread tutorial! This tutorial is perfect to start the year on the right foot!
Supplies:
- Tombow Dual Brush Pens
- Tombow Fudenosuke Brush Pens
- Journal or Notebook
- Pencil (I used the Mechanical Pencil from the Terrazzo Stationery Collection)
Step One:
Use the brush tip of the Tombow Brush Pen to color the edge of the page. I like to use a grid dot pattern journal, because it’s easier to keep elements straight, but visually, is not as harsh as lines. The 291- Alice Blue Dual Brush Pen is great base color because is light enough for the other elements on top to show.
Step Two:
Use a pencil to lightly sketch the days of the week. Then use an eraser to make the pencil marks even lighter. To letter the days, I used the Tombow Fudenosuke Pastel Brush Pens. Let the ink dry, and then use an eraser to erase any remaining eraser lines.
Step Three:
Doodle! Making this spread was very relaxing, but my favorite part is doodling. I’m still rattled from the holiday season, and doodling is such a soothing activity. Perfect way to start a journal!
This spread can be a great idea for beginners or expert journalists! If you change the colors and elements, it could be replicated many times during the year!
Use both tips of the Tombow Dual Brush Pens to doodle snowflakes, stars and dots! Do the same with the Tombow Fudenosuke Brush Pens!
The Tombow Fudenosuke Pastel Brush Pens colors go really well with the Tombow Dual Brush Pens Wonderland 6 Pack.
We hope you start the year with an awesome Winter journal spread! Share it with us using the hashtag #tombowusa.
