Hello friends! I’m Smitha, spring is around the corner and today let’s make some beautiful Recycled Cardboard Roll Flowers together! This is a fun, eco conscious craft that is easy to make!
What you will need:
- Recyled Cardboard Rolls or Toilet Paper rolls
- MONO Multi XL Liquid Glue
- Cardstock or Thicker Paper
- MONO Twin Permanent Marker, Fine & Chisel Tips, Black Ink
- Scissors
Step 1:
Using a sharp scissors cut into your recycled paper roll lengthwise. Then carefully roll it open to create a rectangle of cardboard.
Step 2:
Trim a piece of cardstock or heavier paper to size. My paper is 3.5 by 4.5 inches in size here. Using the scissors, cut out shapes for a flower from the unrolled recycled paper roll. Cut out a three circle shapes, each one smaller than the previous one, then a stalk and a few leaf shapes.
Step 4:
Using the pen tip applicator of the MONO Multi XL Liquid Glue, add glue to the back of each of the pieces, and adhere onto the cardstock. The paper roll will have a slight curve, so make sure you are adding enough glue to hold it down firmly. The glue will dry and hold everything in place neatly.
Step 5:
To add a pop of contrast, you can color in the center of the flower. I used the chisel tip of the MONO Twin Permanent Marker to add a bold black color.
Step 6:
You can make so many different shapes of flowers! Vary the petal sizes, the leaf shapes to create unique flowers.
These Recycled Cardboard Roll Flowers turn out so cute! I love how these color play, but you could always paint the paper roll with acrylic paint too if you want.
You can use these as small art pieces to display around your home and mantles, or add them onto a card to gift to a friend.
