At Tombow this week the Design Team is sharing their some of their Christmas traditions. I had to really think on this one as we try to keep Christmas as simple as possible to keep from the stress of all the hustle and bustle. AND to think of something that I could use Tombow products on to share with you all as most of our “traditions” are spending time together.
For Christmas the year Benjamin was born I bought a children’s book that told the true meaning of Christmas. Each year I bought a new book and we would read each one the next year. I have done this for 12 years. This is one of my favorite traditions.
Other traditions are going around Comstock and viewing all the homes that are decorated. We then come home and drink hot chocolate and eat popcorn and talk about which ones were our favorite and why and which one we think should win. Then when Santa comes to town (the Saturday before Christmas) they announce which house won with their decorating. It is fun to see if we picked a winner or not.
Another tradition I guess would be making these Oreo Truffles (recipe here). They are super easy to make (only 3 ingredients) and we make them with the different flavored Oreos and either white or chocolate coating. I found Peppermint Oreos this year and had to try them. They are super yummy. Ü
We bag them up in a cello bag and tied on a tag from Designed2Delights Snowman Tag and Frame set. I used Tombow’s Mono Aqua Liquid Glue to adhere glitter to the hat, scarves and mittens as well as the snow.
This is adorable! And now I need that recipe! LOL!
Oreos are our fave—gotta try this!
Jingle, click on the word “here” and it will take you to the recipe.
The consistency of your ideas are put together well considering the difficulty of the topic. I can not start to thank you enough for all you have done. Thank you for investing the time into this.
