patchwork duo….by melissa cash 2

Hi there!  Today I am sharing a couple of cards that I created for my stash basket.  They both use the Patchwork print paper from the Echo Park So Happy collection. I love how I was able to create two different looks from the same print.

I started this card with a white card base and then added a layer of the polka dot side of the Patchwork print with Tombow Mono Adhesive Dots.  I continued to layer the papers to create each of the panels.  I used Tombow Foam Tabs to pop the top Patchwork panel up for a little dimension.  I stamped the sentiment with Adirondack Pool ink and then added a bit of shading with Tombow Dual Brush Marker N95 (Cool Gray).  A Tombow Power Tab was added to the back of the button to insure that it would stay in place.  Did you know the Power Tabs can hold up to 6.5 ounces?  Pretty cool huh?
For this card I used some more of the yellow dot side of the EP Patchwork print paper which was adhered to the embossed panel with Tombow Mono Adhesive Dots.  I used the same adhesive for each of the panels.  I used some Tombow Foam Tabs behind the image panel for a little dimension.  I love this little image from By Lori Designs and colored it with the Irojiten Colored Pencils.  I love how these pencils blend together so nicely.  To adhere the buttons I cut a Tombow Power Tab in three pieces and put just a tiny bit behind each one.  The sentiment is from the MFT Celebrate the Season set (yes, I know this is a holiday stamp set, but the sentiment is perfect for celebrating the summer season too!

These are the AWESOME Tombow products I used 🙂
