watercolor notecards….by melissa cash 1

Hello!  I hope your New Year’s celebration was all you hoped it could be and I am sending you wishes for a happy and healthy 2013.
Today I am sharing a very simple notecard project that uses minimal supplies making it quick and easy.
I started by gathering some Fabriano Notecards in two colors, green and peach.  Next I grabbed a couple of stamps, a spray bottle of water, a small ink pad and some Tombow Dual Brush Pens.  Pictured above are four of the six Dual Brush Pens that I used.
For the green set, I inked up the stems of the flowers with #192 Asparagus and #249 Hunter Green and for the flowers I used #676 Royal Purple and #725 Rhodamine Red. Next, I spritzed the stamp 2-3 times and then stamped directly onto the notecard.  I held the stamp for the count of 10 to allow the ink colors to soak into the watercolor paper just a bit.  Allow the ink to dry and stamp sentiment in coordinating color.
The peach cards were created in the same manner as above.  The Dual Brush Pens used were:  #192 Asparagus and #249 Hunter  for the stems and #533 Peacock Blue and #535 Cobalt Blue.
When finished, the notes can be tied up with a pretty ribbon and tucked into a cello bag. The notes would be a perfect little gift for someone special.
