Hi there! This week Jennie has challenged us to created something based on her
“April Showers” theme.
I couldn’t help but think of all of the beautiful flowers that bloom after a good Spring rain.
I watercolored this beautiful Penny Black Promise Me #4384K image with Tombow Dual Brush pens onto some Canson 140# Cold Pressed Watercolor Paper. This is such an easy technique and you should give it a try….soon!
Color directly onto a bold image stamp (such as this one) with your Tombow Dual Brush Pens and then spritz the stamp 2-4 times (but don’t over saturate) press stamp to paper and hold there for about a count of 10-12 to allow the ink to soak into the paper just a bit.
When you lift the stamp you will have a beautiful image to embellish as you would like. I added some glitter to the flower for a little sparkle! What girl doesn’t like a little sparkle?
I used Tombow’s Xtreme Glue Tape to adhere the purple embossed panel to the base card and Tombow Foam Tabs to adhere the watercolor panel to the embossed panel. Added a ribbon and pretty sentiment from the Penny Black Special Wishes #30-229 set.
Be sure to play along with the challenge and you could have a chance to win this awesome prize pack:
