Dual Brush Pen Lettering Tutorial 2

Hello friends, this is Smitha! For today’s post I am sharing a Dual Brush Pen Lettering Tutorial inspired by my fellow Design Team Member Marcella. I love her colorful hand lettering techniques and today let’s explore one of them together!

Material list:

• Dual Brush Pens
• Water Brush, Small
• Watercolor or mixed media Sketchbook

Step 1:

Using the brush tip of the Dual Brush Pen N95, hand letter your quote. This is a very light grey color that define out quote and allow us to add color on top easily.

Step 2:

Now comes the fun part of this Dual Brush Pen Lettering Technique. Using the brush tip of the few different colors of Dual Brush Pens, add color onto the lettering. Carefully trace over the gray lettering, adding various colors to cover the entire lettering.

Step 3:

Using a Water Brush, slowly blend the colors, adding just a little water. This step will create in between color tones and create beautiful gradients that will make the lettering unique and colorful!
