Hi Tombow Friends! This is Jennie with a recycled bracelet tutorial. Give your tea-loving friends a fun recycled bracelet for Valentine’s Day!
Supplies:
- Tombow MONO Multi Liquid Glue
- Paper (In this tutorial, I used tea bags.)
- Tombow MONO Air Touch Adhesive
- Beads
- Beading Thread
Step One:
Gather your paper. I used tea bags, but you can choose magazine paper, newspaper, paper bags or patterned paper. Cut your paper into triangles. The width of the base of the triangle will determine the width of the bead.
Step Two:
Let’s make the beads! Curl your paper using a stick, like you would use scissors to curl ribbon.
Use the Tombow MONO Air Touch Adhesive on a few places of the paper to keep it in place while you finish the bead. Sometimes if you use liquid glue the paper sticks to the stick you use to roll the bead. That is why I prefer to use the Tombow MONO Air Touch Adhesive. If you want to earn extra green points, the Tombow MONO Air Touch Adhesive is refillable which creates less waste than having to change the whole case.
Once your bead is rolled, use the Tombow MONO Aqua Liquid Glue to seal the bead. Use the broad tip to spread the glue around the bead. Let dry on a toothpick or skewer. Then add another layer.
We have beads!
Step Three:
It’s time to put the bracelet together! Pick other beads. Plan an order for your beads. Always cut extra beading cord. It will be easier to tie the bracelet.
