Hi Tombow Friends! This is Jennie and today I’m going to draw a whimsical mushroom home using the Tombow Irojiten Colored Pencils!
Supplies:
- Tombow Irojiten Colored Pencils
- Pencil (I used the Tombow MONO Drawing Pencil)
- Tombow MONO Drawing Pens
- Sketchbook or Journal
- Tombow MONO Zero Eraser
Step One:
Use the Tombow MONO Drawing Pencils to sketch your image. I chose to turn a mushroom into a house. When drawing, remember that practice makes better, and the practice is about joy! Sometimes I make small doodles to try different ideas. No idea is bad, but if you happen to have one of those, Tombow makes really nice erasers!
The Tombow MONO Zero Eraser is perfect for erasing minor details! For big mistakes, I prefer the Tombow MONO Dust Catcher Eraser. The awesome thing about the Dust Catcher is that it doesn’t leave any residue! The eraser picks up the residue left behind!
Step Two:
It’s time to color! This time we are going to use the Tombow Irojiten Colored Pencils Tranquil Set. Using sets helps us make better color choices with less work! It’s also great when you have a limited amount of time to create, because the color palette is chosen for you! I used the 491- Glacier Blue Tombow Dual Brush Pen to add a background. You can always combine one set like the Tombow Irojiten Colored Pencils Tranquil Set with other sets of products like the Tombow Dual Brush Pens or Tombow Fudenosuke Brush Pens!
Step Three:
Use Tombow MONO Drawing Pens to clean up your image and add extra details! Look at how this smiley face pops!
Feel free to mix up Tombow MONO Drawing Pens sizes! Sometimes it’s good to use a smaller size for minor details and bigger sizes to outline the outermost lines of the image.
The Tombow Irojiten Colored Pencils are perfect to take on the go! They are great for art journaling, but they can also be used for cardmaking and planning!
