Monday was “Thread a Needle Day” and I just had to show a project with that theme in mind. I love sewing (by hand, machine, and even “faux”) on my projects.
To create this card, I used a lunch sack. I just folded it in half and then covered the sack with patterned paper.
The stamped image is by Inky Antics. I used Tombow’s Mono Adhesive Permanent to adhere all the pieces together.
Here on the front I hand “tied” the quilt in the image with embroidery floss.
The “stitched” zig zag is actually a rubber stamp.
Here is a look at the inside: for the left side, I cut 1.25″ squares of patterned paper and adhered them to white cardstock and then “tied” them with embroidery floss.
On the right side I used a sentiment and background stamp by Inky Antics.
I made a fun little insert for the open end of the bag: the tab is cut with a QuicKutz die. All edges were sponged with ink.
Thanks for looking!

what a great idea
Fabulous card! Love the quilt on the inside and the enclosure is brilliant. Great job.
