Reading Journal with Tombow Markers!

Hi Tombow Friends! This is Jennie Garcia, sharing a few pages of my reading journal! Tombow products help you create your best work. My best work is not one big project, is the little creative things I do everyday. I use Tombow Markers everyday for planning and writing notes like the ones in this reading journal. I color code everything to stay organized.

Supplies:

Idea #1: Sprinkle filler page

I used the Tombow Fudenosuke Brush Pen to write a quote on this page. Always practice lettering on another piece of paper to make sure the words are centered. After I wrote this quote on a page of my reading journal, I decided to add sprinkles with the Tombow TwinTone Dual Tip Markers.

Alternate the tips between the fine tip and the broad bullet tip of the Tombow TwinTone Dual Tip Markers. Try to mix up the colors and doodles on the page. You can also use this design as a monthly marker for journals. #tombow #readingjournal

Idea #2: Bookshelf to document the books you’ve read this year.

Use the Tombow MONO Zero Eraser to erase little mistakes and small corners.

The Tombow MONO Graph Mechanical Pencil is great for sketching precise lines. Use the Tombow Self-Care Journaling Kit booklet as inspiration to make a few drawings on the bookshelf.

Writing on the books with the Tombow MONO Graph Mechanical Pencils helps me plan out the layout of my words. Since the lead is very fine, is closer to the size of the Tombow MONO Drawing Pens.

To color the bookshelf, I used the Tombow Dual Brush Pens.

I left space on the bookshelf for the books I’ll read the rest of the year. Last time I ran out of space, so I want to make sure I have enough space. If I read less, I can doodle other elements like pots and plants.

I colored the books to mimic the spines of the real books.

Idea #3: Book Review

This reading journal comes with specific pages to summarize the books. In previous years, I’ve written my thoughts on journaling cards or traveler notebooks. I like to match the colors of my journaling to the colors on the cover. The Tombow TwinTone Dual Tip Markers are perfect for that! They write smoothly and they don’t bleed through pages. To glue the image of the book, I used the Tombow MONO Air Touch Adhesive.
