Welcome to Tuesday! This is Beth and I am excited to share 5 ways to use Tombow Xtreme Tabs!
Marie Browning, Tombow’s Signature Designer, demonstrated how to make tiered cake stands with glass elements and Tombow Xtreme Tabs, so I decided to take it to the next level by creating apothecary jar place cards for Easter.
Here’s how I made it:
Step One:
Cut two Tombow Xtreme Tabs in half and place around the edge of the glass candle holder. Xtreme Tabs are perfect for holding together heavy items and over time the bond becomes stronger and more permanent.
Attach bottom of mason jar to top of candle holder. Press hard and twist back and forth slightly to set.
Step Two:
Trace and cut out a circle from decorative paper, then insert in mason jar lid. Attach wooden spool embellishment to top of mason jar with Tombow Xtreme Tab. Xtreme Tabs will hold thicker embellishments, like wood veneer, to dimensional projects, cards and scrapbook pages.
Step Three:
Attach a decorative knob/finial to the center of the wooden spool embellishment with a Tombow Xtreme Tab. Xtreme Tabs are great for holding heavy embellishments in place on most any surface.
Step Four:
Measure and cut a length of lace to fit around the center of the jar. Attach two Tombow Xtreme Tabs to each end of the lace, then attach to the mason jar. Xtreme Tabs are dimensional, so uneven surfaces like lace and ribbon will become embedded in the tab and create a solid bond.
Attach card stock label over top of lace with a Tombow Xtreme Tab. Xtreme Tabs are strong enough to hold embellishments in a curved position around the center of the mason jar.
Step Five:
Attach card stock embellishment with two layers of Tombow Xtreme Tabs. Xtreme Tabs are dimensional, so stacking them will create dimension within your project. They are also clear, so they disappear within your projects like magic!
I hope you have enjoyed my Easter Apothecary Jar Place Card project and the 5 ways to use Tombow Xtreme Tabs – I think my family will! 🙂
Here are a few more projects I created that display the versatility of Tombow Xtreme Tabs:
