This week the Tombow USA Blog has a challenge for you! Get your umbrella! It’s time for April Showers!
For this challenge you will be inspired by this Mood Board, created by Daniella! Make anything you want using this Mood Board as inspiration and the April Showers theme. This challenge will start on March 30 and will end on April 12 at 11:55PM EST. Winner will be announced Monday April 13.
I made 3 projects to show you how diverse this challenge is.
My first project is a card. I used Tombow Mono Multi Liquid Glue around the edge of the umbrella and added some glitter. I wrote the words with a Tombow Dual Brush Pen and made the rain drops with them too. Use the brush side of the pen and press it down on its side. I adhered everything with my Tombow Stamp Runner Dot Pattern Adhesive. It is awesome because when you hold it vertically, it actually stamps adhesive wherever you need it. I used it for the flower and the feather on the bottom. To finish, I used a Tombow Foam Tab to adhere the butterfly.
My second project is a tag.
I attached the flowers to the card with Tombow Adhesive Dots. I also used one in the center of the flower and added glitter to it. To attach the wood leaves I used Tombow Mono Aqua Liquid Glue. I also used this glue to make fake raindrops on the leaves. You can see the clear drops in the close up.
My last project is a fun easy card.
I used my favorite Stamp Runner dot pattern adhesive to adhere everything on this card. I also used a black dual brush pen to ink the stamp.

Looks super fun!! Love Daniella’s projects. Hard to choose a favorite because they each are so pretty and sweet. I am trying to get into tags lately, though, so I am going to choose her perky flower tag as my fave. 🙂 Black and yellow are not colors I use very often, so if I jump into this challenge it will be a good stretch for me. Love that.
