Hey Tombow friends! This is Jennie! Today, I’ll teach your how to make handmade embellishments using scraps, dies, punches and Tombow Adhesives. You can use them on cards, scrapbook layouts and other paper crafts.
Supplies:
- Tombow Xtreme Adhesive
- Pattern paper scraps
- Tombow Adhesive Dots
- Dies and punches
Step One:
Gather paper scraps. Cut basic shapes like circles and hearts using punches and dies. I have a bow die but you can also look for templates online.
Step Two:
Divide all the die cuts by type.
Step Three:
Assemble the handmade embellishments by layering different shapes, colors and textures. The Tombow Xtreme Adhesive is perfect for textured surfaces. To add buttons, I used the Tombow Adhesive Dots. Add washi tape, phrase stickers and enamel shapes to embellish them even more.
Step Four:
To turn the handmade embellishments into ribbons, add banners behind the embellishment. You can also put the banner in the middle. These are perfect to give as silly gifts to celebrate small victories!
Step Five:
I used a die to make the bow. If you own a digital die cutting machine, you can easily find a cut file. Mix the patterns. For the center, I added a button using the Tombow Adhesive Dots. You can also use brads or rhinestones.
I made these embellishments using a DIY Project Life Kit. If you are using them on a card, you can use Tombow Foam Tabs between layers to get more dimension.
I hope you enjoyed this tutorial! Take care!
