2025 Favorites: A Tombow Year in Color

What a creative year! As I wrap up my 2025 posts as a Tombow Creator Crew member, I’m looking back at the projects that made me smile the biggest—each one powered by Tombow tools that never left my desk. Here’s a quick tour of my favorites and the products that brought them to life.

Arches Gift-Card Pocket (for my coffee-loving friend)
This display-ready arches card features a petite pocket that holds a coffee gift card—handmade keepsake + treat in one. I built the base and pocket with MONO Aqua Liquid Glue (broad tip for panels, pen tip for tabs) for a smooth, bubble-free bond. A layered floral cluster finishes the front, and it’s pretty enough to sit beside her favorite mug all season.

Recycled Bloom Shadow Box
Most of these flowers started life as egg cartons and scraps! I colored the petals with Dual Brush Pen Art Markers, mixing shades right on the paper for painterly variation, then secured everything inside a shadow box with MONO Aqua Liquid Glue. It’s thrifty, dimensional, and such a satisfying way to turn recyclables into home décor.

Coloring Page: “Do What Makes Your Soul Happy”
I loved slowing down with a positive reminder. I blended 1500 Series Colored Pencils for buttery gradients and used Dual Brush Pen Art Markers to punch up the brights. The combo gives crisp edges with pencil softness—perfect for big statement lettering.

Gingham Card Set + Watercolored Florals
This little suite of cards began with Dual Brush Pen Art Markers—I drew quick lines to build gingham backgrounds, then used the same pens as watercolors to paint stamped florals. One palette, two techniques, coordinated everything.

Ombre Moment Card
Working from an inspiration palette, I brushed an ombre panel with Dual Brush Pen Art Markers and layered a bold leaf and sentiment on top. Simple, saturated color for maximum impact—my favorite kind of quick win.

12×12 Scrapbook Layout
For this map-themed page, MONO Multi Glue and the Xtreme Adhesive Tape Runner teamed up to hold every layer (and chipboard!) flat and secure. I finished the story with handwritten notes using a MONO Drawing Pen Color—water-based pigment ink that stays crisp over photos and paper.

Junk Journal: Fall Pumpkins
I’ve loved exploring my junk journal this year. For a cozy autumn spread, I watercolored stamped pumpkins using Dual Brush Pen Art Markers, then tucked in a photo of myself from last fall. Messy edges, warm color, and lots of memory-keeping joy.

Self-Care Awareness Month Spread
To close the loop on a year of intentional making, I created a journal page packed with uplifting quotes using the Tombow Self-Care Journaling Kit. It’s a gentle reminder to keep creating what lights me up.

Thank you for following along this year and cheering on every swipe of color and dot of glue. Here’s to even more handmade stories in the new year—planned with Tombow, colored with heart.

Love,

Andrea Lake
