Was getting organized one of your goals for this year? This is Jennie. Today I’m going to give you a few tips to customize your planner with Tombow! If you want to see more tips and a more detailed look at my planning process check out this post. Every month I start with a master list and I also write my Design Team commitments. Then I got to my monthly calendar and write everything there. After that I go through each week writing everything down and a few extra reminders. Color coding is my favorite thing in the world! I love the Passion Planner but the times on it drive me crazy. After I take my oldest daughter to school, whatever I do is dictated by whatever my youngest lets me accomplish. Specific times don’t work for me. If I just cover it with washi the numbers still peek through. Using the Tombow MONO Air Correction Tape I covered the times.
After that, I put washi on top and you couldn’t even tell what’s underneath. Make sure you are placing the washi correctly because the MONO Air Correction Tape will peel off if you lift the washi. No matter which one you use, you have to customize your planner into whatever works for you. When you are in the market for a planner make sure you pick the planner that is best for your needs. Watch a few videos of flip through or even reviews if you are buying online or to get tips on how people use them.
I normally have a specific color for each thing, which I’m not changing because it works great! But instead of writing my personal commitments in black like I normally do I had fun with other colors. I used the fine tip of the Tombow Dual Brush Pen to write on these pages. I also doodle dabbed a bunch of hearts on Valentine’s Day using the Dual Brush Pen brush tip.
Another cool thing about these planners is that they have a “Space Of Infinite Possibility” where you can do whatever you want. I’ve seen people online lettering on this space so I gave it a try. I was inspired by one of the Brand Ambassadors, Maia Then, to add flourishing to this little lettering piece. This is also a good excuse to practice your lettering at least once a week. You can add the Lettering Sets to your Planner Kit! The Tombow Fudenosuke Brush Pens are small enough to write in the date spaces.
Colors are my favorite way to customize my planner! What is yours? Check out my planner kit in this short video!
