let it snow….by melissa cash 2

Hi there!

This week, Marie has challenged the team to create a shadowbox project.

Well, this one scared the bejeebies out of me as I have never created any type of shadowbox before.

I didn’t do a traditional shadowbox, but I did create this cute little winter scene in a shadowbox fashion.
I found this hanging metal tin at the craft store and then wandered around wondering what to do with it…

Next, I found the string of snowflakes and that got my brain in gear.  I picked up a pack of small trees, some snow, the snowflake garland and the tin and headed to the house to get crafty.

I started by adding the trees to the tin using Tombow Power Tabs as they are super sticky and super strong.  Next I stamped this adorable snowman from the GKD Let It Snow set that was designed by my friend Theresa Momber onto some white cardstock and colored him in with Tombow Dual Brush Pens.  I added him to the tin using another Power Tab and then I created some paper snow out of white cardstock and covered it with Tombow Mono Aqua and lots of snow.

Now, bring on the cold weather, rain and snow and I will be ready to start decorating for Christmas!

Be sure to head on over to Marie’s post here on the Tombow Blog to check out all of the details of Marie’s challenge.  Be sure to play along as you could win some goodies!
