3 Place Card Ideas for the Festive Fall Table 1

Want to see some fun and unique place card ideas that will add a special touch to any festive fall table? This season is such a busy time with many opportunities to entertain and be around friends and family.  These easy place card ideas are very simple and quick to create with some common paper products and a little #tombowlove .

1. KRAFT PAPER PLACE SETTING

YOU WILL NEED:

-A roll of kraft paper (and tape to secure on table)

-A black or brown Tombow Dual Brush Pen

To create a fun and clean looking table, take a roll of kraft paper and wrap the table top in it by folding the edges under and taping them.  Then take a black or brown Tombow Dual Brush Pen to draw a place setting and letter a name.  A cute little leaf illustration is also unique touch. Don’t worry about the place settings being perfect, I think sometimes, imperfect adds a lot of character. What a cute way to integrate place cards with the functionality of a table cloth.  Stained or weird color table top? This is the project for you to try this fall!

2. FALL COLOR SPLASH

YOU WILL NEED:

-4 by 4 inch cut square of water color paper

-fall colored Tombow Dual Brush Pens

Blending kit (palette and mister)

Tombow Fudenosuke Hard Tip Brush Pen

Add a splash of color here and there to create a fall colored spatter effect, perfect for fun place cards. First, take different shades of Tombow Dual Brush pens and color them onto the blending palette.  Using the mister, add water to the palette and then shake off the drops of color onto the place card. Let the color sit for a few minutes and then dab off the excess water with a paper towel.

To easily add names to the cards, make sure they are dry and then fold them in half.  Write a name on the card with the Fudenosuke Hard Tip Brush Pen. These cute cards also would be fun to use to label food on Thanksgiving.  How festive!

3. PATTERN & TEXTURE

YOU WILL NEED:

-a 4 by 4 inch square of mix media paper.

Tombow Mono Permanent Adhesive +

-Baker’s twine

Tombow Dual Brush Pens

-A watercolor brush

Sometimes adding a little pattern with a tidbit of texture can do a lot to improve a piece. First, add the name with the Tombow Fudenosuke Hard Tip Brush Pen, making sure the name is shifted on the right side of the paper to leave room for the twine .  After this take the Tombow Mono Permanent Adhesive + and wrap the section of the card with baker’s twine. Then wrap baker’s twine around the card.

Press down the twine onto the line of adhesive.  Then, using the Tombow Fudenosuke Hard Tip Brush Pen, draw leaves and color them in with different colored Dual Brush Pens. I chose the warm colors of red, orange, and brown.  Once they are colored in, they the can be blended with the watercolor brush. How cute are those?! I definitely think this on is my favorite!
