Playing with Colors! By Jennie Garcia 2

Playing with colors Happy Friday! This week we have been playing with the color wheel! If we are talking about playing with colors we have to talk about the Tombow Dual Brush Pens and the Blending Kit! The Blending Palette is great for mixing colors for lettering but I also love it to use my Tombow Dual Brush Pens like watercolor. My favorite method is doing backgrounds, you can see the full tutorial HERE. It’s super easy! Scribble on the Blending Palette, spray water with the Tombow Mister and put the tag on top! Playing with colors-001Here is the result! There are many variations depending on how much I scribbled from each color and how much water I used. I used analogous color schemes to do the tags, except the first line where I used the whole rainbow. Playing with colors-002 You could use complementary colors but when combined it will turn brown which can also look very pretty but will make the colors darker and less brilliant.
Playing with colors-003For this tag, I used a version of second generation stamping. After you place the tag in the Blending Palette there will be residue. This residue will give your tag a light watercolor splash effect. To make that pattern I colored a stencil using Tombow Dual Brush Pens, I sprayed water on it using the Tombow Mister and placed it on the tag.
Playing with colors-004 I also kept the wipes I used to clean the blending palette. I love the tie dye look! Playing with colors-005 Here is what I did with one of the tags! To make the lines I used the Tombow Mono Twin Permanent Marker. To glue the heart made with smart fab and the trim I made with the wipes I used the Tombow Xtreme Permanent Adhesive. After I glued them I stitched them with my sewing machine. Playing with colors-006To glue the heart made with smart fab and the trim I made with the wipes I used the Tombow Xtreme Permanent Adhesive.
