This week we are doing anything but cards!!

I love making layouts!! But Once Upon a Time I got obsessed with Mini Albums and then cards. When I snapped out of it I was so behind in my scrapbooking that ever since that happened I am making layouts non stop. Lately lots of them are Double Layouts which I hated doing before. If you are like me and you take 20 pictures of your kids just sitting there, Double Layouts are the absolute BEST!

I love adding a big shape in the middle of a double layout, I feel that it connects the two pages. I used the octagon to continue the street feel.  I used the Alphabet Soup Girl Collection from My Mind’s Eye and the Summer Travel collection from K & Company.

The word SAFETY was cut from the Boys Will Be Boys Cricut Cartridge.

The arrow is also from Boys Will be Boys but the First is from Cherry Limeade Cricut Lite Cart.  For the First I used plain orange cardstock and I drew diagonal lines with the Tombow Retro Dual Brush Pen Set.

The swirl and the cute little girl are Punch Outs from the Paper and Accessories 12×12 Kit.

The bee  is also a punch out. I love using the Foam Tabs because that dimension gives your scrapbook a little more detail.

This arrow is also from Boys Will Be Boys. I don’t have boys but this cart has many images that can be used with girls.

The bike is from the same cart and the doodling on the borders were made with Tombow Retro Dual Brush Pen Set.

I made this lollipop flowers and I free handed the leaves.

This week we are giving you food for thought and I found this quote that I loved.

“And when it rains on your parade, look up rather than down. Without the rain, there would be no rainbow.”
Gilbert K. Chesterton

This quote reminded me of my daughter in these pictures.

I love making double layouts, I take so many pictures that I want to scrap them all.

I started by double matting and doodling all the pictures.

For the incredibly big tag behind the pictures to connect the two pages I used a tag from Once Upon a Princess and I used Echo Park Paper from the Summer Days Collection. I outlined the tag and I also doodled the border of the pages with Tombow Dual Brush Pen Retro Set .

The transparencies and stickers are from Colorbok. To glue them I used the Mono Aqua Liquid Glue.

These boots are from the Paisley Cricut  Cartridge. I also used Glossy Accents to make them shiny like the real rain boots.

This umbrella is also from Paisley and the flower sticker is from K & Company.

I made the title with the Cricut Limeade Cartridge.

This cute girl is from the Once Upon a Princess Cartridge and her face is from Peachy Keen Stamps. I colored her hair with Tombow Dual Brush Pen Sets. I also faux stitched the umbrella and her clothes and made her shoelaces.

To highlight the word love I outlined it with a white pen and I used a transparent border sticker.

I hope you enjoyed the post!!

To keep up the Party from this week I made a layout of my daughter’s first birthday but not the actual birthday. Is a picture of her at the store picking the theme of the birthday and if you haven’t guessed we picked Minnie Mouse.

For the title I used the 1 candle of the Cricut Sweet Treats Cartridge and the font is from the All Mixed Up Cartridge. Most of the patterned papers are from Momenta.

For the doodling I used Tombow Markers and I also used them on the  candle flame and I used the blending marker.

This cute girl and the balloon is from the Paper Dolls Everyday Cartridge and I made the ears with the Paper Dolls Dress Up Cartridge and my Gypsy. For her face I used Peachy Keen Stamps  and for her hair I used Tombow Markers and the blending marker. I also doodle the balloon the with the markers. I embossed the little girl dress and I inked it.

This cupcake is from Sweet Treats. I embossed the cupcake wrapper and I used glitter glue on the candle.

To follow the Halloween theme of the week I made a cute Halloween card perfect for a kid. I used mostly Basic Grey patterned paper. For the purple card I actually used white cardstock with Dusty Concord Distress Ink.

This cute little monster is from the Mini Monsters Cricut Cartridge and I also used Glossy Accents and googly eyes to make him extra cute.

I made a bow with Black and Orange Twine and I also wrapped it around the mat. The orange tag behind it is from the Once Upon A Princess Cartridge.

This old little fence was cut from the Paper Dolls Dress Up Cricut Cartridge and I embossed it with a Tim Holtz embossing folder. I also inked it with brown ink to show the embossing detail.

I stamped an inchie from InkaDinkaDoo stamp set and I punched out with my one inch circle punch and then I punched a little scalloped circle and I layered the sentiment. I also used Glossy Accents on the stamp.
